Editorial Design
Description: This was a practical exercise from the Editorial Design course in the SFU Master of Publishing program. The purpose of this project was to create or redesign a magazine from scratch, providing us with the opportunity to play with our imagination and experiment with different techniques and design approaches.
I redesigned Tinmarín, a Dominican magazine from 2012. It was the first magazine I ever read and was extremely popular during my childhood. Every Sunday, my grandfather would keep it for me, and I would leaf through it with enthusiasm. That's why I decided to adapt and redesign it for today's children, using modern design, and attempting to provoke in this new generation the same sense of wonder I experienced as a child when the magazine and its design were completely captivating.
